It's no secret that I love Skyr, which is why I write about it so often. It's naturally fat free and high in protein, without any nasty additives. You can buy some great flavoured Skyr, but I generally like my Skyr plain, maybe with a little swirl of jam.

So when I walked into my local Aldi and spotted this "mega Skyr" (that's what I'm calling it), I became embarrassingly excited. Take a look at this:

850g! And with 9.3g of protein per 100g, that's 74.4g of protein per pot. I bought this pot for £2.20, so it's definitely great value.

Eagle-eyed readers might have noticed that there's not much English on the pot - the Skyr is from France. I really like the taste and would definitely say it's got a nice creamy texture compared to a lot of the Skyr I've tasted (I definitely prefer this to the Arla Skyr).

I didn't think I'd be able to eat one of these in one sitting, but I just did. 75g of protein in about 20 minutes, easy.

I'll need to make some more room in the fridge as I'm going to go and buy 5 of these!
