What is the best protein pudding? We bought & tried 6, here are our favourites
Protein puddings seem to be all the rage at the moment - I'm seeing them everywhere, and I've now tried quite a few of them. Let me just clarify that protein puddings are different from protein yoghurts (we've got a different guide about high protein yoghurt). A protein pudding should be either a mousse, or thick like Angel's Delight.
Here are the best protein puddings I've tried:
Ehrmann
If you're not interested in reading the whole of this guide then we'll save you some time - the best protein pudding brand that we tried, by far, was Ehrmann . The range features a variety of protein puddings, from a simple mousse to a pudding which consists of both mousse and a thicker pudding underneath. We've tried 2 protein puddings from the Ehrmann range and they were both delicious. The lemon mousse from the brand is light, fluffy, and delicious. The double choc pudding (pictured) is the best thing in the range, with a delicious chocolate flavour and lovely texture. And most importantly, these protein puddings are packed with protein. You get 20g of protein in each pot, which is a great amount. I think I could probably eat 6 in one sitting. The only downside is that these protein puddings tend to be a bit more expensive compared to the own-brand supermarket protein puddings, but I think it's worth the extra 50p or so. There's no added sugar and they're also lactose free.

Aldi
A number of supermarkets have created their own-range of protein puddings, and we've tried a number of them. But I think the best supermarket protein puddings are the ones from Aldi - the Lidl protein puddings are a close second, but I think Aldi is the winner. Both the chocolate and the strawberry flavours are really good, and we love the thick pudding texture. The price is great too as these can be picked up for under £1, and each pot contains 20g of protein.

GetPro
GetPro is the protein pudding brand from Danone, and I really like the chocolate and caramel mousse from the range. I'd put it at a close second to the Ehrmann protein puddings in terms of how nice it tastes - the mousse is so lovely and light, but it's really full of flavour. And you get a solid 20g of protein per pot. Again, I think I could eat lots of these (maybe 5 in one sitting).

Arla
I only tried the Salted Caramel flavour pudding from Arla, and I thought it was pretty good. I'm not the biggest fan of salted caramel, but I quite happily ate the entire thing. It's a small pot but it still packs 20g of protein, and I was happy to see that there is no added sugar in these either.
