These new vegan chicken burgers from Aldi are packed with protein

I've been a Quorn chicken burger devotee for a long time, and I've always maintained that it's the best vegan chicken burger you can currently buy (whether you buy it from the supermarket or from KFC). However, Aldi has introduced a vegan chicken burger that, in my opinion, really gives Quorn a run for its money.

It's part of the Plant Chef range at Aldi, which I've had mixed experiences with up to this point. But I have to say, these vegan chicken burgers really impressed me - the texture is pretty much perfect I'd say, with a bit of bite without being too chewy.

But what really impressed me (and what convinced me to buy them) was the nutritional content of the burgers - per 100g these burgers contain 16.4g of protein, 3.4g more protein than you'll find in 100g of the Quorn Crunchy Fillet Burger. The Aldi Plant Chef chicken burgers also contain 204 calories per 100g, which is slightly lower than you'll find in the same amount of the Quorn Crunchy Fillet Burger.
I'll definitely be trying more from the Aldi Plant Chef range moving forward!
