The best meal planning apps to use (4 great options)
Meal planning apps are all the rage right now, but the choice is becoming overwhelmingly. With so many options, and with all of them seeming to basically do the same thing, it can be difficult to choose a meal planning app to use. So we thought it would be useful to highlight a few of the best examples of these apps, each of which is great for its own reason. Let's get into our guide of the best meal planning apps:
Yummly
Yummly is a popular meal-planning app with more than 23 million users and a very impressive rating on the Apple App Store (4.8 out of 5 from more than 100k reviews). The app has both a meal planner and meal planning recipes, which is really useful. The meal planner is focused on quick and delicious meals which can be ready in 30 minutes or less. Once you've chosen which meals you want for the week, a shopping list is automatically made for you so you know exactly what to buy from the shops. The app is really easy to use and we're not surprised to see how popular Yummly is, particularly with people who have busy schedules and don't want to spend hours planning out their meals. Mealime
Mealime is another wildly popular app, with more than 4.5 million people regularly using the app to plan out quick and healthy meals for their week. The most notable feature of the app is that there are more than 200 personalisation options, including for things like allergies, so you can get really specific and creative with the meals you're planning for your week. Eat This Much
Aside from having a great (and straight-to-the-point) name, Eat This Much is a great meal planning app. It's very much so for people who have weight goals - whether that be to drop weight, maintain, or gain muscle. There are 4 million people using this app, and we're not surprised to see that at all because it's very easy to use and actually quite fun too. Learn more about the app here - eatthismuch.com

Noom
We've got an entire review of Noom, and we came to the conclusion that it's a pretty excellent app, particularly for meal planning. Foods are all classified using a "traffic light" red/yellow/green system based on how healthy they are, so as you add foods to your meal plan you can very quickly get a sense for how healthy everything is. We also love the "cheerleading" feature of Noom, where you frequently get little movitation notifications to keep you on the right path. Learn more about the app here -

Final thoughts
If you're serious about getting more control over what you eat, then a meal planning app is an invaluable tool. Hopefully one of the above options works for you!
