SuperNutrio high protein milk is seriously impressive

Here in the UK, there are so many new high protein products being released every week - it feels like every time I walk into an Aldi or Lidl, 5 more new protein products have been added to their ranges. It's the same when I walk into pretty much any UK supermarket. Many health fads come and go, but protein doesn't seem to be going anywhere, and that doesn't bother me at all as I'm always looking to increase my protein intake.

But I'll be honest, it does take quite a lot to impress me, and I've seen many high protein products that sound great (protein cheesecake, for example), but actually aren't very good.
So when I saw SuperNutrio milk on the shelves at my local Waitrose, I was ready to be disappointed - it just sounds too good to be true.

For those of you that don't know, SuperNutrio milk is cow's milk that contains a lot more protein than cow's milk normally does. Now, cow's milk is actually very high protein already (usually around 3g of protein per 100ml), so that claim is already impressive, but it's true - SuperNutrio milk contains 7g of protein per 100ml, more than double what you'll find in the same amount of normal cow's milk. If you drank 500ml of this milk (which I could do in about 10 seconds flat), you'd be getting 35g of protein. Pretty impressive!

If you're anything like me, you were probably expecting this milk to be full of additives to boost the protein content, but this is what's so impressive about the SuperNutrio milk - it's just normal cow's milk. The reason it's so high in protein is because it's filtered more than normal cow's milk is, which massively increase the protein content (and the calcium content too, a nice added bonus).

And I can confirm, this milk tastes exactly the same as normal cow's milk. So you could add to this to tea, coffee, cereal - whatever you fancy!
At Waitrose, I paid £2 for a litre of this milk, which I think is extremely good value considering I'm getting double the protein that I'd normally get in my milk. I could see myself buying this pretty regularly! It's pretty cool when I make my iced coffee in the morning and I know that I'm getting more than 20g of protein in it.

If you've tried this milk, let me know your thoughts in the comments!
