More interesting high protein products have landed at Lidl

Published by Finn Hayden

I recently updated our article about high protein tortilla wraps to include a mention of the new Rowan Hill high protein tortilla wraps from Lidl. I've tried them and they actually taste great, plus the texture is really good. Each wrap contains just under 10g of protein and is made using pea protein isolate.

But the wraps are not the only interesting high protein product that Lidl has launched recently under the Rowan Hill. They've also added these sandwich thins, and similar to the wraps, they're made using a mix of wheat protein and pea protein isolate. These are a little lower in protein at 7.8g of protein per thin.

But the new high protein Rowan Hill product that I'm most excited to try are these high protein buttermilk pancakes. Amazingly, these contain 9.5g of protein per pancake, and they're not very big pancakes either. These contain egg so aren't suitable for vegans, and that's part of the reason why they're so high in protein (they contain egg white powder).

These can all be picked up for just over £1, so they're very good value too! If you're looking for ways to add a bit more protein to your lunch then check these out from Lidl.
