Hermiston Gait – a guide to the shops you’ll find at this Edinburgh retail park (2026 update)

On a recent trip to Edinburgh, I decided to take the family to Hermiston Gait, a retail park that's been around for more than 25 years. Before heading off, I wanted to know which shops we could visit on the trip, but that turned out to be a bit harder than I was expecting. There's currently no official website for Hermiston Gait, and most of the information I found online about what shops were there ended up being completely wrong.
So, I thought it would be useful to publish an updated guide to Hermiston Gait for 2026. As an overview, the shops you'll currently find at Hermiston Gait are:
And here's a bit of information about each store, plus an updated photo from this month (May 2026):
TK Maxx
This TK Maxx has 2 floors, with both a home and clothing section. It's one of the first shops you'll come across if you're walking to Hermiston Gait from the Edinburgh Park tram station.
The official website is here.

Jollyes
I saw some information saying that the Halfords at Hermiston Gait was still open - it isn't, and seems to have been closed down for some time. The store next to TK Maxx is Jollyes, which is a chain of pet stores.
The official website is here.

Tapi Carpets and Floors
Next to Jollyes, there's a large Tapi Carpets and Floors store.
The official website is here.

Home Bargains
There's also a large Home Bargains which is handy for all sorts of stuff.
The official website is here.

Aldi
The Aldi at Hermiston Gait is relatively small, but you could definitely still do a "big shop" there. It makes for a nice alternative to the Tesco

Wren
This Wren store is pretty large and has both kitchens and bedrooms that you can browse.
The official website is here.

Decathlon
This Decathlon store is surprisingly massive and has everything from tents to paddleboards. It's actually a handy thing to have just off the M8 for anyone who is heading camping and suddenly remembers they've forgotten something they need.
The official website is here.

Tesco
The Tesco at Hermiston Gait is massive and has pretty much everything you'd ever need, including a cafe and an F&F clothing section.
The official website is here.

B&Q
The B&Q at Hermiston Gait has both a timber cutting service and a garden centre, making it one of the best B&Q stores around Edinburgh to visit.
The official website is here.

Costa Drive-thru
This Costa has a small seating area inside, but is best for getting a drive-thru coffee.

As of May 2026, this is all of the shops that you'll find at Hermiston Gait in Edinburgh! There's also a Krispy Kreme just outside of Hermiston Gait if you're craving a sweet treat on the way home.
Let me know in the comments if you've been Hermiston Gait recently!
