Newcastle United want to sell their 2024/2025 season shirts exclusively through JD Sports – and Mike Ashley isn’t happy

A deal is reportedly being struck between Newcastle United and JD Sports to sell the Magpies' iconic black and white kit exclusively through JD Sports shops for the 2024/2025 season, and a certain former Newcastle United owner is not very happy. Sports Direct, run by former Newcastle owner Mike Ashley, is seeking an injunction from the Competition Appeal Tribunal after learning about the proposed deal, describing it as "unlawful". It is reported that Newcastle United wanted to bring all replica kit sales in-house but, accepting it needed a wider distribution, had also agreed an exclusivity deal with JD Sports. Thomas de la Mare KC, representing Newcastle United, questioned the reputational…

You need to try the Enriched Eggs from Waitrose

Published by Finn Hayden If there's one place to head to for a great selection of eggs, it's got to be Waitrose. Over the years we've spotted everything from quails eggs to blue eggs in our local Waitrose, and even the standard free range eggs from Waitrose are described as being from 'blacktail hens'. Very fancy. But it's the Enriched Eggs from the Waitrose egg section that we've been loving recently. Not only are these eggs super tasty, but they're also packed with extra goodness. And it's not like the extra goodness has been injected into the eggs or anything like that - the reason these eggs are so packed…

Don’t be fooled by the lab coats and test tubes – the rise of Andrew Huberman was driven by men who want to feel more masculine

Andrew Huberman, a Stanford University scientist, is currently being "cancelled". An NY Mag article was published last week which outlined how Huberman skillfully managed to maintain relationships with 6 women at the same time without any of them knowing. First of all, let me get something straight - as far as I can tell, Huberman has done nothing illegal here, and some of the reactions I've seen to what he's been up to have seemed a tad overblown to me. I think that he should be allowed to continue to publish his podcasts and his YouTube videos, and people should be free to continue to listen to him. And likewise,…

A quack snack? You can now buy DUCK jerky in Marks & Spencer

I was browsing the snack aisle of my local M&S today (looking for reduced Percy Pigs, a favourite hobby of mine. Once I found bags selling for 50p and I bought about 15 of them), when something stopped me in my quacks (sorry, tracks).   It was a bag of duck jerky, something I've never seen before anywhere else. I have to say, my first thought was - eww. I'm not a huge fan of duck and something about eating those cute little guys I sometimes feed at the pond makes me feel a bit ill. But once I thought about it for a bit, I realised that I'll quite…

Freezing jam doughnuts from the supermarket – an experiment gone right

Published by Finn Hayden When I walk into a supermarket and see the reduced section, I have no shame in saying that my eyes light up a little bit. It's my chance to grab a bargain, and I love it. Often, when I see nice bread in the reduced section that has a best before date of the day I've found it, I'll buy the bread then take it home and stick it in the freezer. I can do this with bread but can't really do it with most other things that I might find in the reduced section, such as sandwiches. One thing I seem to find reduced a…

The 12 best non-alcoholic beers that we’ve bought & tried

Published by Finn Hayden Lockdown was a shock for many people, and it's no wonder that alcohol consumption skyrocketed during this period. I know this too well myself - the first week of lockdown was basically a non-stop bender for me. I was drinking every day, and because I was stressed and on my own, I had no reason or desire to stay sober. Non-alcoholic beer has been really useful for me as I've cut down my alcohol consumption over the past few years. Alcohol free beer has exploded in popularity in recent years, as people become more health-conscious and companies get better at making great-tasting alcohol-free beer. In the…

FitBit Charge 6 Review – Is Google’s FitBit ready to track your fitness goals?

Fitbit is a pioneer in health tracking, and while they now have to compete with some fantastic products and services by the likes of Garmin, Whoop and Zoe, they are still in the running to be market leaders. The new Charge 6 was launched in September 2023, and is still Fitbit's most up-to-date model - but what we wanted to understand was whether Google's new launch is keeping pace. We have been giving the Charge 6 a run around for a couple of weeks, so we have managed to get first-hand experience on the product, but we will also be looking at 3rd party customer reviews too. In an ideal…

6 of the best tinned tomatoes you can buy in the UK

Published by Finn Hayden Tomatoes are the base of so many dishes - from curries to pasta sauces, most people keep a few tins of chopped tomatoes in the cupboard because they're so often required in recipes. But we'd also say that despite many dishes requiring tinned tomatoes, most people don't give much thought to the type of tinned tomatoes that they use in their recipes. We think this is probably because people assume that all chopped tomatoes are the same, but having tried a number of tinned chopped tomatoes, we can safely say that this definitely isn't the case. We wanted to round up the best tinned tomatoes that…

Feelgrounds Courtside – my full review of these barefoot shoes

Published by Finn Hayden I love barefoot shoes, and I'm not the only one - every team member here at You Well owns at least one pair of barefoot shoes. I'm now at the point where I don't own any "normal" shoes (I've recycled or donated everything else). Up to this point, I'd only tried a couple of barefoot shoe brands including Vivobarefoot and Freet. I've been pretty impressed and delighted with those. But recently, I had the chance to try a pair of Feelgrounds Courtside barefoot shoes, and I've been blown away by how great they are. This is a brand that is quickly growing in popularity here in…
