Published by Finn Hayden

We've always found it strange that people will happily drink 3 cups of coffee per day but will often stick their noses up at energy drinks, but for people who need a boost and don't like coffee, energy drinks are ideal.

The one downside of most energy drinks is that they're often packed with sugar. Luckily, there are sugar free energy drinks out there, and some of them are really excellent. We wanted to round up the best sugar free energy drinks that you can buy in the UK, let's get into it:

Virtue Clean Energy

The Virtue Clean Energy energy drinks are really impressive because as well as being totally sugar free, they also contain no calories. The caffeine in this energy drink comes from a blend of green coffee beans and yerba mate, so it's all natural and there is absolutely nothing else artificial in the can. We really love the taste of these energy drinks, and instead of sugar they contain erythritol which is a natural sweetener. Flavours include Berries and Tropical, and as an added bonus, each can of Virtue Clean Energy sold gives money towards the conservation of rainforests. Learn more and buy it here - tesco.com

Red Thunder Sugar-Free

A few of the major UK supermarkets stock their own range of energy drinks, but we think that the best sugar free energy drink that we've tried from any of the supermarkets is the sugar free Red Thunder from Aldi. The taste reminded us a lot of Red Bull, but it's the price which really impresses us - you can sugar free Red Thunder for half the price of a sugar free Red Bull, and we feel it'll do almost the same job in terms of giving you energy.
