6 breakfast cereals you can buy that are actually organic

Published by Finn Hayden

As people become more health-conscious, we're seeing more organic products appearing on supermarket shelves. This is great to see, especially for those of us who want food which has been tampered with as little as possible before it reaches our plates.

Despite being a really popular product that millions of people eat every morning, we actually found it quite difficult to find organic versions of cereal. But it does exist, and there are some really excellent options out there. We thought we'd round up the best organic cereal you can buy in the UK, let's get into it:

Rude Health Choco Vanilla Puffs

If you're looking for a chocolate cereal which is 100% organic then your best bet is these choco vanilla puffs from Rude Health. Made using a combination of puffed rice and puffed wheat, this cereal has a taste and texture similar to Coco Pops, but everything in this cereal is 100% organic and natural. We think this organic cereal is light and delicious, and we think both kids and adults will enjoy it. Learn more and buy it here -

Weetabix Organic

We have to admit that we found it hard to find organic versions of popular cereals, but we were really impressed to find an organic version of Weetabix. The wheat used to make this Weetabix is grown without the use of artificial chemical fertilisers, herbicides, or pesticides, and is 100% organic. It might be placebo but we honestly think this tastes better than normal Weetabix. Learn more and buy it here -

Lizi's Granola

We're big fans of Lizi's granola, having featured the brand in both our high protein cereal guide and our healthiest granola guide. But we didn't know until recently that the brand has a totally organic version of its popular granola. It's still packed with loads of nuts and seeds and it's still really tasty, the only difference is that it's 100% organic. Learn more and buy it here -

Freee supergrain hoops

The Freee brand makes some excellent gluten free products, including flour. The brand is probably best-known for producing an excellent cereal, which we actually included in our gluten free cereal guide. But as well as being gluten free, this cereal is also made from 100% organic ingredients. This includes a really tasty and nutritious mix of buckwheat, oats, teff, and quinoa. So if you're looking for a cereal which is not only organic but is also very healthy and 100% vegan, this cereal is ideal. We also love the taste which reminds us a lot of Cheerios. Waitrose Muesli

We mentioned in a previous guide that Waitrose is one of the best supermarkets for organic food, and nothing demonstrates that better than the fact that Waitrose produces an own-brand muesli which is 100% organic and very delicious. We love the crunch of the almonds in this and the sweetness of the raisins too. We also found it to be pretty reasonably priced as well. Learn more and buy it here -

Dorset Cereals Organic Muesli

Dorset Cereals is one of the most popular muesli brands in the UK, with most of the range being non-organic. But Dorset Cereals does also produce an organic muesli which is really excellent. As you'd expect, everything in the box is organic, from the toasted wheat flakes to the raisins and Brazil nuts. This muesli is packed with flavour and is a great source of protein as it contains pumpkin seeds too, Learn more and buy it here -
