Popcorn is often marketed as a great healthy alternative to crisps, and there is no denying that generally speaking, popcorn is much lower in calories and fat compared to crisps. Having said that, that's certainly not the case for all popcorn, especially the varieties which are covered in things like sugar and chocolate.
Luckily though, there is a lot of low calorie popcorn out there which is ideal as a snack at home or at the cinema. We wanted to round up the best low calorie popcorn that we've tried, let's get into it:

With just 88 calories per bag, this sea salted popcorn from Proper is very tasty but still manages to be well under 100 calories per bag. Metcalfe's sweet 'n' salt popcorn
With just 96 calories per bag, the Metcalfe's sweet 'n' salt popcorn bags are a great low calorie option who likes their popcorn with a bit of sweetness and saltiness. As well as being low in calories, this popcorn is also totally vegan and gluten free. You'll actually find this popcorn stocked in most branches of Caffe Nero, and it makes for a great alternative snack to the various cakes and pastries there (which, despite being delicious, we try to avoid). It's always nice to have a low calorie sweet popcorn option, and at 76 calories per bag, this sweet popcorn from M&S definitely fits that description. We love how simple it is, made from just Corn, Sugar, and Rapeseed Oil, and we love that it's gluten free too. We also like that it's a multipack, so rather than eating the whole large bag, you can eat one small bag and feel pretty satisfied. We're often raving about how good the own-brand food from the Co-op is, having recently given the pizza from this supermarket the top spot in a guide. Waitrose sweet popcorn
Just like M&S, you can pretty much always rely on Waitrose to produce excellent own-brand food products. This sweet popcorn from Waitrose is not only very tasty, but it's also low in calories at just 103kcal per 20g serving.
