4 of the best low calorie instant noodles you can buy

Published by Finn Hayden

You might think of noodles as quite a healthy food, but they can actually be really high in calories. The most common types of noodles -  egg and rice - can easily contain more than 350kcal per 100g. And that's even before you've smothered them in any sauce! Luckily, there are lots of great low-calorie noodle brands out there, and we thought it would be useful to round up the best that we've bought and tried. Let's get into it:

Eat Water Slim Noodles - 9kcal per 100g

We'll admit that the Slim Noodles packaging makes it look like one of those "too good to be true" products that you'd see on the shopping channel at 1 am, but this product is actually excellent. All of the points that you can see in this image are totally true - these noodles contain zero cards, are totally sugar-free, and are organic too. But it's the calorie content which really impressed us and why we included them in this list - 9 calories per 100g, virtually nothing! Learn more and buy them here -

Holland & Barrett Natural Diet Konjac Noodles - 9kcal per 100g

Holland & Barrett is a great place to buy trusted and up-and-coming brands, but the health giant also has its own range of excellent food products. We're big fans of the Natural Diet Noodles from Holland & Barrett, not just because they taste good but also because they're very low in calories - 9kcal per 100g, the same as the Slim Noodles. These didn't taste as good as Slim Noodles, but they are £1 cheaper. Learn more and buy them here -

Barenaked noodles  - 12kcal per 100g

Ross from Barenaked was on Dragon's Den many years ago, where he secured an investment from Peter Jones. Since then, the brand has gone from strength to strength, producing some seriously great products, including its noodles. These are zero fat, contain no added rubbish, and are very low in calories at just 12kcal per 100g. It's not quite at the level of the previous 2 entries in our list, but these do taste good and are well worth inclusion. Learn more and buy them here -

Bare naked noodles

Keto Skinny Noodles noodles  - 9kcal per 100g

Like a few of the other entries in this list, the noodles from the Keto Skinny brand are also made from Konjac and are also seriously low in calories. At just 9kcal per 100g and without any added sugar, fat, or gluten, these noodles are really healthy. These noodles are also high in fibre and have a firm texture, which also means they'd make a great substitute for spaghetti. We're big fans of these and so are people on Amazon, as they've got an excellent rating on the platform. Learn more and buy them here -

Hopefully, the above list helps to show you that plenty of low-calorie noodles options are out there, and that some of them actually taste pretty excellent. Let us know in the comments if you've tried any of these and if you'd like us to check out any other brands!
