The best instant noodles you can buy in the UK (top 6)

Noodles have always been popular in Asian countries, but in the last decade or so they've exploded in popularity in the UK too. Many people here love to eat noodles for lunch, but if you're at work then it can be hard to find the time or space to cook noodles from scratch.

Luckily, there are lots of excellent instant noodle brands here in the UK which make cooking and enjoying noodles for lunch a total breeze. We thought it would be helpful to round up the best instant noodles that we've found and tried, so let's get into it:

itsu rice noodles

As far as instant noodles go, we consider itsu rice noodles to be the absolute peak. Rice noodles are naturally gluten-free and delicious, plus these noodles are flavoured with a miso-based broth which means they use a paste to flavour the noodles, not a powder like most other brands. We only tried the katsu and satay flavours, but they were both really delicious.

Overall, we were super impressed by these and think they're the best instant noodles we found. Learn more and buy them here - amazon.co.uk

Kabuto Noodles

Coming in at a close second, we found the Kabuto Noodles to be very good too. These are normal noodles made with wheat, but they're really delicious. On top of that, they're made from totally natural ingredients and they're really flavoursome - we tried the Katsu Curry variety which was really delicious.

On top of this, they're suitable for vegetarians and contain almost 10g of protein per pot. Learn more and buy them here - amazon.co.uk

Cup Noodles Classic Wok Style

These instant noodles from the Cup Noodles brand definitely don't taste as good as the first 2 entries, but for the price and the fact that they taste pretty good, we've decided they're definitely worthy of a spot in this list. Ready in just 3 minutes, these instant noodles are super convenient and do the job if you're looking for a quick and good-tasting lunch. Learn more and buy them here - tesco.com

Soba noodles

Ko-Lee Go Noodles

We actually really like the Ko-Lee Go Noodles, but one thing we would say is that you shouldn't be scared of the 'hot & spicy' flavour name - they have a little kick, but they're actually pretty mild compared to some of the spicy instant noodles we've tried in the past. In terms of what else we like about these instant noodles, the noodles are really tasty and you can buy these for really cheap (less than £1 per 65g tub as pictured).

On top of that, they only took 2 minutes to make after being mixed with boiling water. We're a big fan, learn more and buy them here - amazon.co.uk

Super Noodles

Super Noodles seem like they have been around for years, but we think this is with good reason - they might not exactly be what you'd describe as "authentic" instant noodles, but they absolutely do a good job of being consistently tasty, easy to make, and affordable.

We're big fans of the mild curry flavour Super Noodles, but they've got loads of flavours for all sorts of tastes. If you've never tried these before, give them a shot! Learn more and buy them here - asda.com

Pot Noodle

You really thought we could write a guide for the best instant noodles without including the famous Pot Noodle? Listen, we won't claim that these are the greatest instant noodles that you'll ever eat or that they're particularly healthy. But we genuinely believe that these are incredibly underrated, and often unfairly snubbed in favour of other brands which seem more authentic.

But trust us, a Pot Noodle can often hit the spot like no other instant noodles brand can. The choice of flavours is extensive, and they're so consistently in good like any good British brand should be. Learn more and buy it here - tesco.com
