The best incense sticks you can buy in the UK (top 4)

If you're trying to create a relaxing atmosphere, one of the first things you can do is change the smell of the room. This is why products like scented candles are so popular, as lightning them can instantly change the mood of a room.

A similar product which can have the same effect is an incense stick. Lighting an incense stick will not only fill your room with a pleasant scent, but it can also make you feel more spiritual and relaxed. You can also decorate your room with some extremely interesting incense stick holders.
There are lots of options when it comes to incense sticks that you can buy in the UK, so we thought it would be useful to round up the best that we've bought and tried. Let's get into it:

Stamford London

Stamford is one of the biggest incense stick brands in the UK at the moment, and the range features a variety of scents that we really enjoy. The incense sticks from Stamford London are made from natural ingredients and have a central bamboo core, which is completely free of artificial colours. They are hand dipped into natural fragrance oils and then left to dry, and they're hand rolled in India. We found that they burn very cleanly and evenly, lasting for roughly half an hour each. These incense sticks are a Fair Trade product which are made by craftspeople in Karnataka, South-West India. We've tried a number of scents from this brand, but have found the Egyptian Musk to be our favourite. Learn more and buy these incense sticks here -

Karma Scents

You're likely to find this brand in corner shops, convenience stores, or Asian market stores across the UK.
Karma is one of the biggest and best-known incense companies across the UK, and sells some amazing scents.
The only real issue that we have with this brand is that the quality of the sticks is something unpredictable. Sometimes the stick is too thick to burn evenly, or often too thin to hold up properly in a holder.
Regardless, they are a great choice. Check them out on Amazon here:

Amrita by The Mother's India Fragrances

These incense sticks from The Mother's India Fragrances are made using pure natural ingredients, and we think they're very high-quality. They're hand-rolled in Pondicherry by craftspeople following the ancient masala method. The incenses sticks are light and clean-burning with a scent which really lingers, and the burn time is around 60 minutes per stick. There are absolutely no chemicals or synthetic ingredients used to create these incense sticks, and you get 20 in each packet which is great value. Learn more and buy them here -

And we're not surprised at all - we loved the quality of these incense sticks and found the scents to be strong but not overly powerful. Each stick has a burning time of approximately 45 minutes which is more than enough time to fill your room with a lovely smell and create a relaxing mood.
