The best Greek yoghurt that you can buy in the UK (top 6)

Published by Finn Hayden

We're huge fans of yoghurt and love all of the different styles that you can buy. We're written about lots of them, from Skyr to probiotic yoghurts.

But it's Greek yoghurt that we really love - not only is it thick and creamy, but it's also high in protein and packed with nutrients.

There are lots of options when it comes to Greek yoghurt in the UK, so we thought it would be useful to round up the best that you can buy. Let's get into it:

Yeo Valley

We're huge fans of all of the Yeo Valley yoghurts, because not only are they healthy, but they're also delicious. People often don't realise that Yeo Valley also produces a Greek Yoghurt, and just like the normal yoghurts from Yeo Valley, it's made using organic British milk. The standard Yeo Valley is already very creamy, but we were blown away by how thick and creamy the Greek yoghurt from Yeo Valley is. It's absolutely delicious and the natural variety contains absolutely nothing added, but you can also buy a version of the Greek yoghurt with honey which is really tasty. Tims Dairy

Unlike most of the other brands we've included in this guide, Tims Dairy is a brand which only specialises in Greek yoghurt and doesn't produce any other type of yoghurt. Every yoghurt from Tims Dairy is inspired by a Greek family recipe, and it's been this way since the company was founded. We'd say that the Tims Dairy Greek yoghurt is probably the thickest that we tried, and it's really tasty. It's made using British milk and contains absolutely nothing artificial. You can buy the Natural variety which is lovely, but there are flavoured varieties like Vanilla and Blackcurrant which are also delicious. Learn more and buy them here - groceries.asda.com

The Collective Dairy Straight-Up Greek Style Yoghurt

We love the Suckies yoghurts from The Collective which are great yoghurts for kids, but we think the Greek yoghurt from the brand is even better - this Greek yoghurt actually won a Great Taste award back in 2020, and it's the only Greek yoghurt in this guide which has won an award like this. It's made using British milk and is seriously thick and creamy, plus it contains absolutely nothing else apart from quality British milk. Learn more and buy it here - sainsburys.co.uk

Rachel's Organic

As the name suggests, everything in the Rachel's Organic is organic, and that includes all of the Greek yoghurt from the brand. All of the yoghurt is made in West Wales using British milk, and the end result is a Greek yoghurt which is thick, creamy and very tasty. You can buy the normal Greek yoghurt from Rachel's Organic, but there is also a set version of the yoghurt which is even thicker. This is because the yoghurt is actually fermented in the pot that it is sold in. Learn more and explore the entire range here - tesco.com

Kri Kri My Authentic Greek Yogurt

The Kri Kri brand is actually based in Northern Greece, so the Greek yoghurt from this brand is about as authentic as you can get. The yoghurts from Kri Kri are all made using 100% Greek milk, but you can buy them in the UK from a number of different supermarkets and online. The yoghurts from this brand are seriously thick and creamy, and very delicious. If you're looking for an authentic Greek yoghurt then you won't do much better than this. Waitrose No1

We feel like we're always writing guides about how good the food is from Waitrose, but that's just because we really do feel like it's the best own-brand food from any UK supermarket. So we weren't surprised to find that the Greek yoghurt from Waitrose is excellent, particularly the No1 range of Greek yoghurt. This yoghurt is actually made in Greece using local cow's milk, and it's extremely thick and creamy. Learn more and buy it here - waitrose.com

Actually the best greek yoghurt in the UK is Lancashire Farm. Once you have tasted it you will find other main brands just aren’t as good.
