The best decaf green tea you can buy in the UK (top 4)
The benefits of a regular cup of green tea are well-reported, and we won't bore you by going over them all (they're endless). However, not many people realise how much caffeine is in a cup of green tea - it's not as much as black tea, but at an average of 33mg of caffeine per cup, it's not far off. And because it's thought of as a herbal tea, a lot of people would think that green tea would contain a lot less caffeine than that.
So what if you want to enjoy the benefits of green tea without the caffeine? Well, luckily for you there are loads of excellent decaf green tea options out there. We thought we'd round up the best that you can buy, let's get into it:
Clipper organic decaf green tea
The Clipper brand is excellent for organic herbal tea, which is why we gave the brand the 2nd spot in our peppermint tea guide. And this decaf green tea from the brand is definitely one of the best products they make - made using ethically sourced green tea leaves traded in compliance with Fairtrade standards, this is a high quality product and the tea oozes quality. Despite being decaffeinated, the tea doesn't lose any flavour and is still light and refreshing. Learn more and buy it here - amazon.co.uk

Tetley
Tetley makes some excellent decaf tea, which is why we included the brand at the top of our decaf tea guide. This decaf green tea from Tetley is as good as any of the other decaf teas you will find in the Tetley range - made using 100% Rainforest Alliance Certified green tea leaves, this tea has been Decaffeinated to 0.2% and is perfect for anyone who wants the taste and refreshment of green tea without the buzz. Twinings Pure Green Tea Decaffeinated
The team at Twinings know what they're doing when it comes to green tea, as the standard green tea from this brand is fantastic. We're happy to report that the decaf version of that tea is also excellent - made using the finest green tea leaves, this green tea is blended and packed in Hampshire but a sip will transport you to China. This green tea has been decaffeinated to 0.02%, so it's really low in caffeine and is perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy a cup of green tea without any caffeine. Qi Organic Green Tea Decaffeinated
The QI Teas brand is quite underrated here in the UK, but we love the range of teas from this brand, especially this excellent decaf green tea. Made using 100% organic green tea leaves, we love that the team at QI has managed to decaffeinate this green tea without the use of chemicals - instead, they use supercritical carbon dioxide extraction, which they claim helps to lock in the freshness of the tea. Having tried it, we certainly can't argue with this method, as this is a very light and refreshing green tea. Learn more and buy it here - qi-teas.com

Hopefully, this guide helps you to find a great-tasting decaf green tea. Let us know if you've tried any of these or if you have any other suggestions for us to sip on. Happy drinking!
