5 delicious aloe vera juices you can buy

Published by Finn Hayden

Aloe vera can be used for all sorts of things, and is often found in products for your skin and hair. Studies have shown that the plant is packed with a range of beneficial vitamins and enzymes. But not many people realise that you can actually safely ingest aloe vera, and that it not only provides you with a host of nutritional benefits but also makes for a very refreshing juice drink.

There are quite a lot of options when it comes to aloe vera juice that you can buy readymade, so we thought it would be useful to round up the best aloe vera juice that you can buy, based on our experience and on third-party reviews. Let's get into it:

Simplee Aloe Vera

We're really impressed with this aloe vera juice from the Simplee brand for a variety of reasons. Firstly, many people drink aloe vera juice for the high amount of polysaccharides found in the juice, and at 1200mg/l of polysaccharides, this aloe vera juice from Simplee definitely ticks that box. Secondly, the ingredients are very simple - it's made using handpicked organic inner leaf Aloe Vera gel and a tiny bit of organic lemon juice, with nothing else added. The lemon juice just helps to preserve it and doesn't really alter the taste in any meaningful way. This 1 litre bottle is intended to last for 20 days, as it's recommended that you consume 50ml per day. Learn more and buy it here - amazon.co.uk

Pukka aloe vera juice

Pukka is perhaps best known as a tea brand (we included Pukka in our peppermint tea guide) but the brand also makes an excellent aloe vera juice. Pukka claims that this is the highest organic grade Aloe Vera Juice you can buy, and that sounds about right - everything in the bottle (which admittedly is only 2 ingredients) is organic and natural, including the citric acid used to preserve it. It's also certified organic by the Soil Association. The juice contains a guaranteed 1000mg/litre of aloeverose polysaccharides and is made using only inner leaf gel from mature Aloe Vera plants, which according to Pukka makes this juice less bitter than other aloe vera juices which use the outer rind of the plant. Lifestream Biogenic

This aloe vera juice from the Lifestream brand is made using a blend of freshly-cut and hand-squeezed Aloe Vera leaves, and prepared from the pure inner gel of mature Barbadensis Miller Aloe Vera plants, at the peak of their biogenic potency. The juice is certified pure by The International Aloe Science Council, and it's tested at 99.75% pure. It also contains no added flavours or sweeteners. Alo Allure

This aloe vera juice from the Alo brand is made using cane sugar and mango juice, so it has a lovely sweetness to it. The drink is made with real organic aloe vera pulp and contains only 32 calories per 100ml. It also won an award at the Natural and Organic Awards in 2013. We really love the refreshing taste of this drink and love that it's made with real fruit juices too. Learn more and buy it here - amazon.co.uk

Aloe Pura

This aloe vera juice from the Aloe Pura brand is one of the highest-rated aloe vera juices you can buy from Holland and Barrett, with a rating of 4.5/5 from more than 200 reviews. Made using a blend of blend of Aloe Vera inner gel and whole leaf, this juice is really pure and is packed with goodness. Many people seem to drink this to help with digestion, and based on the reviews it certainly seems to do a good job at that. Learn more and buy it here - hollandandbarrett.com
