We often enjoy an alcoholic drink, but we love trying non alcoholic versions of our favourite drinks too. Our guide to the best non alcoholic beers we've tried is extensive because there is so much choice, but some of our other favourite drinks are quite limited when it comes to non alcoholic versions, such as rum.

Because rum is such a strong and flavourful spirit, we understand why so few non alcoholic versions of this spirit exist. However, there are some options, and we've done our best to try as many of them as possible for this guide. Let's get into our list of the best non alcoholic rum that we've tried:

Strykk Not R*M

With delicious notes of vanilla, raisin, oakwood, and sugarcane, we'd honestly say that you'd be hard-pressed to tell that this is an alcohol free rum as the taste is so good. What's really impressive is that not only does it taste like real rum, but it also manages to do it without any artificial ingredients - everything in the bottle is 100% natural, plus there is no added sugar. Clean Co Clean R

The Clean Co brand has quickly emerged as one of the leading brands in the non-alcoholic spirits space, and we think this Clean R product from the brand is a great product. You can tell from the picture that this product has the golden colour of a spiced Caribbean rum, and impressively the taste is very similar to real rum too - we got notes of caramel, v, vanilla, and cayenne pepper. Caleño Dark & Spicy

You can probably tell by looking at this alcohol free rum from Caleño that it's packed with flavour - just look at how deliciously dark it is. The flavour is achieved by a 48-hour distillation process which produces a distillation that is allowed to mature for 2 weeks before it is bottled. The result is a non alcoholic rum with notes of ginger, coconut, and vanilla. We'd definitely say that this product was our favourite to have with cola, as it tasted the closest to a normal rum and coke. We were impressed by this Sober Rum product we tried, which claims to be the world's first distilled non-alcoholic spirit made from real spirits in a traditional way. ISH Caribbean Spiced Spirit

The team at ISH claim that this is the most authentic non-alcoholic Rum experience you can currently find, and although we might not agree with them fully, we think this product is seriously impressive. With a gold award from the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, this non alcoholic rum has an excellent taste and really feels like a proper rum. We'd describe the taste as warming, and you can expect to find notes of caramel and nutmeg.
