Are Ella’s Kitchen food pouches healthy for babies? We take a close look
When it comes to our children, we want them to be as healthy and happy as possible. This means paying close attention to everything they eat and drink.
For very young children, it's even more important to make sure that they're following a healthy diet. This is why healthy baby food pouches are really useful, as they make it convenient and easy to give your baby healthy food.
Ella's Kitchen is probably the biggest baby food brand in the UK at the moment, but are the food pouches from this brand healthy? We wanted to take a close look at Ella's Kitchen food pouches to see how healthy they are, let's get into it:
What are the Ella's Kitchen products?

What ingredients are used in Ella's Kitchen pouches?

What are the nutritional statistics of Ella's Kitchen food pouches?
Because all of the Ella's Kitchen food pouches vary quite widely in terms of what they contain, it's quite hard to give an overview of what's in all of the pouches. But a lot of the pouches do have nutritional statistics in common which are absolutely worth noting. For example, all of the food pouches within the Ella's Kitchen range are low in salt. This is because not only do they contain no added salt, but they're also made using ingredients which are low in sugar.
We also noticed that all of the pouches are very low in saturated fat too - for example, the Chicken Casserole pouch contains just 0.1g if saturated fat per 100g. The only slight downside to what you'll find in some of the Ella's Kitchen pouches is that the pouches with fruit in them can be quite high in naturally occurring sugar. For example, the Strawberries + Apple pouch from Ella's Kitchen contains almost 4 times as much sugar as you'll find in the Chicken Casserole (9.8g of sugar per 100g versus 2.5g of sugar per 100g).
Another really impressive aspect of these pouches is that they all contain vegetables, providing additional nutrients and fibre which is really important for keeping your child regular. Even the pouches that don't seem like they'd contain vegetables - for example, the Chicken Casserole pouch doesn't mention on the front of the packet that it contains vegetables, but it contains carrots, onions, and broccoli.
Anything else to mention?
