Aldi has some great high protein products that even Lidl doesn’t have (yet)

As someone who is trying to hit quite a specific amount of protein per day, the recent surge in high protein options at UK supermarkets has been a godsend to me. I've written extensively about the high protein options at Lidl, but I've also featured high protein products from the likes of Sainsbury's and M&S in some of my guides.

Aldi is another of the supermarkets which has rolled out an extensive selection of high protein products, to the point where I'm starting to wonder if Aldi might be even better than Lidl when it comes to high protein products. Just take a look at this:

Yes, Lidl has things like high protein wraps and sandwich thins, but these high protein flame baked flatbreads from Aldi are just next level. Also, look at these bagels:

You do get high protein bagels at M&S, but not at Lidl. And also, these bagels from Aldi are much thinner than the bagels from M&S, meaning I could eat twice as many (and get twice as much protein).

You still get high protein tortilla wraps from Aldi, and interestingly these contain
exactly the same amount of protein as the wraps you get from Lidl (9.8g each)

I'll be honest, there's not much to separate the high protein wraps from Lidl and Aldi and I think they taste pretty similar.

I'd still say overall that Lidl is the best supermarket for high protein products in the UK, but Aldi is definitely closing the gap!
