4 great organic granolas to buy and try

Published by Finn Hayden

I'm obsessed with cereal, hence why I've published so much content about it over the years. But if I had to choose one type of cereal to eat for the rest of my life, it would be granola.

Granola is great because it can be tasty, but still relatively healthy. If you want your granola to be extra healthy, then you could go for something organic.

When I was thinking about writing this guide, I thought it would be easy to find organic granola - but it really wasn't. However, I did buy 4 organic granolas that were really good. Let's take a look:

Lizi's Organic Granola

Regular readers won't be surprised to see Lizi's organic granola in this guide, because I really love this brand, and everything I've tried from them has been delicious. This organic granola is no exception - 1 thing I absolutely love about this granola is that it's sweetened with agave syrup (organic, of course) instead of sugar or honey. I sometimes find honey far too sweet, but the agave syrup gives this granola the perfect sweetness in my opinion. Also, the pistachio nuts in this granola were such a lovely surprise! This was definitely the most interesting and best organic granola I tried for this guide, learn more and buy it here - AMAZON or at Waitrose.

Sainsbury's Organic Granola

I was sure I was going to find an own-brand organic granola in Waitrose, but I didn't (they did have an organic muesli, though). In fact, the only organic granola I found in Waitrose was the aforementioned Lizi's granola. So imagine my surprise when I walked into Sainsbury's and saw own-brand organic granola on the shelves. I've previously described Sainsbury's as one of the best supermarkets for organic food, but finding this organic granola really surprised me. It's a simple granola made with only almonds and sultanas, but the oats are honey toasted which gives it a lovely taste. You can buy 1kg bags of this granola, learn more and buy it here - sainsburys.co.uk

M&S organic honey, seed, and almond granola

As I said, I was surprised not to find an own-brand organic granola in Waitrose, but I knew that M&S wouldn't let me down. Everything in the M&S Organic range is produced using fewer pesticides, absolutely no artificial colours or preservatives, no antibiotics, and no genetically modified ingredients or manufactured herbicides. This granola contains a mix of pumpkin and sunflower seeds, as well as flaked almonds. It's really tasty, learn more and buy it here - ocado.com

Rude Health Ultimate Organic Granola

I wasn't too surprised to find organic granola from the Rude Health brand, because I featured the choco vanilla puffs from the brand in my organic cereal guide, and I've featured the low sugar granola from Rude Health in a guide as well, so it makes complete sense that the brand would have a product like this. With a name like 'Ultimate' granola, plus a 'Great Taste' award on the front of the box, I was expecting big things - and this granola was definitely one of the best I tried for this guide. It contains both almonds and hazelnuts, as well as sunflower seeds. Learn more and buy it here - AMAZON or waitrose.com

Rude Health

So even though it was a bit of a struggle to find organic granola to try for this guide, I hope you appreciate my efforts! They were all pretty great, but I do think that both Lizi's and Rude Health at a close second were the best I tried.
