3 excellent sea moss supplements to try if you want to enjoy the benefits of this superfood

Published by Finn Hayden

We like to visit our local Holland & Barrett store often (too often, actually. You should see how many points we have), and whenever we see a new supplement on the shelf, we always like to try it. On a recent trip, we spotted not 1 but 3 different sea moss supplements, and not knowing what sea moss is or what it does, we decided to buy the supplements to give them a try.

Having tried each of these sea moss supplements, we now feel well-placed to tell you what you think of them, and which we think was the best sea moss supplement that we tried. Let's get into it, but first:

Why would you want to take sea moss supplements?

We decided to take Irish sea moss because it's a bit of a super food - it contains 92 of the 102 minerals found in the human body and has a huge range of benefits, plus you only need a small amount to get a huge amount of benenfit.

Now let's look at the best Irish sea moss supplements that we've tried:

Cannaray sea moss gummies

Cannaray is a brand which is mostly known for CBD products, and we actually included Cannaray in our best CBD gummies guide and our CBD balm guide. So we were a little surprised to see that the brand has produced a sea moss supplement. However, having now tried it, we're impressed - each of these sea moss gummies contains 250mg of Irish Sea Moss, which is packed with Vitamin D, Iodine, and Vitamin C. Despite having a really pleasant apple taste, these gummies contain no artificial flavours and they're also 100% vegan. Learn more and buy them here - hollandandbarrett.com

Starpowa Sea Moss gummies

Starpowa is another brand that we included in our CBD gummies guide, but the brand also popped up in our apple cider vinegar gummies guide too. We weren't too surprised to see that the brand has produced a Sea Moss gummies supplement, and we weren't surprised that it's great either - each of these gummies contains 500mg of Sea Moss, which is actually quite a high dosage and means you get great value for money. You also get 12mg of Vitamin C per gummy and 22µg of Iodine per gummy. These sea moss gummies also taste really great because they're made using natural lemon and kiwi flavouring, so we didn't have a problem with taking them every day. New Nordic Irish sea moss tablets

If you'd rather take your sea moss in tablet form versus gummy form then these Sea Moss tablets from New Nordic are a great option - alongside the Irish sea moss in the tablets, New Nordic has also added Wakame and Norwegian Kelp, which are 2 types of kelp that are also packed with lots of goodness. Each of these tablets contains 100mg of Irish sea moss, as well as 250mg of Norwegian Kelp Powder and a whopping 400ug of Iodine. Learn more and buy them here - newnordic.co.uk
